I Cannot Find My Messages
Don't panic.
This is one of the most common questions we receive, and in many cases the messages are still there.
Before assuming your records are lost, please check the following.
1. Are You Signed In With the Same Account?
This is the most common reason.
Talk to Myself connects your records to the account you used when signing in.
If you signed in with a different Google or Apple account, you may see an empty conversation even though your original messages still exist under the previous account.
Please check:
2. Did You Change Sign-In Methods?
Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In are treated as different accounts.
For example:
Signing in with Google will not automatically show messages created under Apple ID, and vice versa.
3. Did You Reinstall the App?
Reinstalling the app normally does not delete your cloud data.
However, local cache stored on your device may be removed.
If your records were successfully synced before reinstalling, they should still be available after signing in with the same account.
4. Are You Using a Stable Network?
Sometimes messages may not appear immediately because the app has not finished loading or syncing.
Please try:
5. Are You Looking at the Right Theme?
Messages may be organized under a Theme.
Try:
Back to All shows your complete story across all Themes.
6. Android and iPhone May Not Always Match
Some features are released on Android first and later on iPhone.
In rare cases, records may appear differently between platforms until both versions are fully aligned.
What Should I Do Next?
If you still cannot find your messages, please contact us and include:
Your sign-in method (Google or Apple)
The email address associated with your account
A screenshot of what you see after signing in
Your device type (Android or iPhone)
The more information you provide, the faster we can investigate.
A Final Note
Many users contact us believing years of records have disappeared.
In many cases, the records are still connected to a different account or are simply not being displayed correctly.
Before giving up, please contact us.
We understand how meaningful these memories can be.
