How to Use Themes

Themes help you organize your thoughts into different stories.

Many people have different roles, interests, situations, and conversations in life.ย

A Theme lets you keep those thoughts together while still being part of your overall story.

What is a Theme?

A Theme is like a category for your conversations.

Examples:

  • #Work

  • #Family

  • #Relationship

  • #Ideas

  • #Dreams

  • #Travel

Each Theme contains its own conversations and records.

How to Create a Theme

There are several ways to create a Theme.

Method 1: Create from the Theme Panel

  1. Open the Theme panel from the top-left button.

  2. Tap the create button.

  3. Enter a Theme name.

  4. Save.

Method 2: Create While Writing

Simply include a new hashtag in your message.

Example:

"Today I had an interesting idea. #Ideas"ย

Talk to Myself can create the Theme automatically.

How to Write Inside a Theme

  1. Open the Theme panel.

  2. Select the Theme you want.

  3. Write your message.

Messages written while a Theme is selected will belong to that Theme.

What is "Back to All"?

Back to All shows your complete story.

While Themes separate different parts of your life, Back to All lets you see everything together.

Think of it this way:

  • Theme = One story

  • Back to All = Your whole story

Many users use Themes to organize their thoughts and Back to All to reflect on their entire journey.

Reflect on a Message

You can also long-press a message bubble and choose:

Reflect on this

This helps you continue the conversation around a specific thought or memory.

How to Delete a Theme

  1. Open the Theme panel.

  2. Long-press the Theme.

  3. Confirm deletion.

Please note that deleting a Theme may affect how messages are organized.

Theme Suggestions

You can enable Theme Suggestions from the configuration panel.

When enabled, Talk to Myself can suggest Themes after you send a message, helping you organize your thoughts more easily.

Themes are Different Stories

Themes are not separate accounts or separate lives.

They are simply different stories inside your life.

Some users create Themes for work, relationships, goals, or personal growth.

Over time, these stories become part of your own journey.

We hope Themes help you better understand yourself and see your story more clearly.
